Ready for some pictures?

For ALL of you who have been waiting (and OH.. I know there are a lot), here are the first round of pictures. I've come to realize that I don't really remember what projects were what or what the point of the project was, so I'm just going to post some naturey pictures and what not. The majority are outdoors. Please enjoy! And I'm willing to hear any thoughts and comments! Even the ones that can make my work better!!

It's all in the works so let's see what comes of it

You may be asking yourself what on Earth could Jessica Campbell have to blog about? Well, I took a photography class this semester and absolutely fell in love with the art of it all. I want to share with you my photography, which isn’t its greatest at the moment (hopefully soon to improve), but I would love to start a career out of it someday and how else would I get my work out there besides in a free blog?

My posts will be composed of my projects that I attempted in my photography class. So you’ll be seeing some things from the beginning of the semester. My road to success is currently under construction because I had to turn in my camera during finals. So, I’ll try to update every week, or every other week to drag out the process. Maybe by the time I am done showing you my old work, I’ll have a camera of my own and can put recent work up. Keep this in mind as you are looking at the beginning pictures. I got better as I went, but it might be exciting to see my skills enhance as the semester continued.

A little background about my passion
Yes, I’d say photography is passion. According to
www.dictionary.com, passion is defined as any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate. Forget the part about hate. I love photography! There’s just something about it that can make me feel so creative even in my least creative moments. Sure, anyone can pick up a camera and snap some shots, but it about the love of the game. It’s sharing the beauty of what I see through an image so that others can see it, too.
I’ve always loved looking at photos. I can be on
www.art.com for hours upon hours just looking at photography. It’s something I’ve done for as long as I can remember. I have what I like to call an art collection on my computer. So I can tell people “Yes, I collect art!” It’s just digitally collected. I love watching my screensavers for this reason because I get to see them all!

So I invite you to join this journey with me as my passion grows into whatever God may lead it to. It’s all in the works right now, but let’s see what comes of it! It shall be exciting!
